First-Time Authors
Never published before? Good. The program is designed to walk you through the entire process from manuscript to launch.

How to Apply
A short, honest application. No reading fee. We respond to every writer who reaches out.

Tell us about you
A short bio (50–100 words). Where you're based, what you write, and what brought you to this project.

Describe the book
What it's about, how long it is or will be, and where you are in the process (idea, draft, manuscript).

Send a sample
5–15 pages of your strongest writing from the project. PDF or .docx. Polished is great; honest is better.

It varies by project scope. Once we read your sample and learn about the book, we'll send a clear, itemized estimate — no surprises.
Do I keep the rights to my book?+
Yes. You retain full rights to your work. We can talk through distribution and royalty terms after you're accepted.
What counts as "local"?+
If you feel rooted in our community, you qualify. We trust writers to know their own ties.
What if I'm still drafting?+
Apply anyway. We work with writers at every stage, and early conversations often shape stronger books.
