The Dreams Preferred Program is FREEAIR Books’ signature youth publishing initiative, created to empower young voices and support the dreams of K–12 students with a passion for storytelling. Through mentorship, creative workshops, and fully-funded publishing support, this program helps turn student ideas into professionally published books.

Each year, selected awardees receive guidance from industry professionals, personalized coaching, and access to the tools they need to bring their stories to life—from the first draft to the final printed copy. The Dreams Preferred Program exists to show students that their words matter and that their stories deserve to be seen, heard, and celebrated.
